Overview

The Community and Regional Outreach organization at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) builds mutually beneficial relationships and implements strategies to promote economic vitality, generate goodwill and advocacy for the laboratory, the community, and our regional neighbors.

The Community and Regional Outreach Staff helps to cultivate relationships with our community to building advocacy within the region to ensure that PNNL is an asset to the northwest region and the local community.

These relationships with key policy makers and opinion leaders fosters the laboratory's reputation not only as a world leading science and technology resource, but also as a vital neighbor and essential asset to the community.

Battelle has proudly operated PNNL for DOE since 1965. Today, Battelle continues to address global challenges in energy, security, health, and life sciences.

Battelle has invested more than $18 million dollars in the Tri-Cities community to improve science education and quality of life. And through Team Battelle, employees have volunteered more than 100,000 hours over the last ten years.
