Airport Baggage Screening System Increases Safety and Decreases Time
The Halifax International Airport in Nova Scotia is the new home of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s first radiation portal monitor to be installed in an automated passenger baggage system. Halifax was specifically selected because it is a pre-clearance site for passengers bound for the United States.

National Laboratory Recognized for Safety
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory was recently presented with the Better Workplace Award from the Association of Washington Business. AWB presented PNNL (along with 15 other companies selected statewide) with the prestigious award at this years’ Annual Legislative Day held in Olympia, Wash.
