Events Summary

April 2008

Changing the Energy Equation with New, Smart and More Efficient Technologies was presented by Graham Parker at the Pacific Northwest Association for College Physics on April 11th. Jeff McCullough also presented on Solid State Lighting (LEDs).  This was held at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake.

Charlotte Sullivan discussed Ice Age Floods at the Richland Rotary on April 15th.

Economic Espionage was the topic of discussion by Greg Curtis at the Columbia Basin Chapter of the National Property Management Association meeting on April 16th.

Jeff McCullough spoke on Solid State Lighting (LEDs) at the Association of the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEi) meeting April 23rd. 

The Earth Day Alternative Energy Fair was held at CBC on April 25th. PNNL's presence was strong this day with two presenters.  Jennifer States discussed Wind energy: current situation and status, while Michael Kintner-Meyer gave a presentation on Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles and their benefits to the energy independence and climate change.
